The suggested pathway of inflammatory reaction [16] and a tentative mechanism of anti-inflammation by 5,7-dihydroxyflavones. They significantly suppressed the phosphorylation of IκBα by inhibition of both ERK5 and Akt phosphorylation and inhibition of NFκB activity, resulting in the inhibition of iNOS and COX2 production.
