STE inhibits EV71-induced p38 kinase phosphorylation. RD cells were mock- or infected with BrCr at m. o. i. of 20 for 1 h, and subsequently treated with 1250 µg/ml STE. The treated cells were harvested at 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 h p. i. Levels of p38 kinase and Erk1/2, and the corresponding phosphorylated forms (P-p38 and P-Erk) were examined by western blotting. The blot was stripped, and analyzed with antibody to β-actin. The cropped images of the blots are shown. A representative experiment out of three is shown.
