Infection with LM-PLP generates PLP-specific CD8 T cells that are not pathogenic. Intracellular cytokine staining was performed using bulk splenocytes harvested from LM-PLP infected B6 mice on d7 post infection. Splenocytes were left unstimulated, or stimulated with either OVA257-264 (positive control) or PLP178-191. Representative flow plots show CD8 (A) and CD4 (B) T cell responses from LM-PLP-infected mice. Summary bar graphs display the frequency (C) and absolute numbers (D) of antigen-specific CD8 T cell responses to indicated antigens.
