CALB1-knockdown significantly inhibits proliferation and colony formation in osteosarcoma U2OS cells. The cell proliferation activity was decreased in the (A) CALB1-shRNA 1 and (B) CALB1-shRNA 2 groups, as measured by MTT assay, compared with the control group. (C) The reduced colony-forming ability of the CALB1-shRNA 2 cells compared with the control group was observed following a crystal violet staining assay subsequent to 9 days culture.
