Effects of KN-62 and AG1478 on the expression of adhesion molecules and cytokines/chemokines in co-cultured eosinophils and BEAS-2B cells under LL-37 stimulation. Human eosinophils (3 × 105) co-cultured with BEAS-2B cells (1 × 105) were pretreated with KN-62 (5 µM) and AG1478 (1 µM) for 1 hour, followed by incubation with 10 µg/ml LL-37 for further 20 h. ICAM-1 expression on eosinophils (A), BEAS-2B cells (B), and the CD18 expression on eosinophils (C) were analyzed and expressed as previously described. Release of IL-6 (D), CXCL8 (E) and CCL4 (F) in culture supernatant was determined. Results are shown as arithmetic mean plus SD of triplicate independent experiments. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01 when compared between the denoted groups and the corresponding control groups with LL-37 treatment.
