Nude mice were injected s.c. with HEYA8 cells (10⁶) and randomly allocated to one of the six treatment groups (n = 3, repeated three times): (i) vehicle, (ii) compound K (CK), (iii) cisplatin (CDDP), (iv) paclitaxel (PTX), (v) CK + CDDP, (vi) CK + PTX. When control animals (vehicle) began to appear moribund (28 days), all animals in an experiment were sacrificed and photographed, and A. tumor volume were measured. B.
