The inactivated SRs commonly bind to HSPs that prevent the translocation of SRs into the nucleus. Ligand binding to SRs in the cytosol causes the conformational change of SRs, which results in the dissociation of HSPs, translocation from the cytoplasm into the nucleus, binding to HREs as well as recruiting co-activators that are responsible for transcription of downstream DNA into mRNA.
