Multi-compartment double cable model of a human sensory fiber. The nodal membrane dynamics included fast sodium (Na_f), persistent sodium (Na_p), slow potassium (K_S), fast potassium (K_f), and linear leakage conductance (R_L) in parallel with the nodal capacitance (C_n). The juxtaparanode segments have fast potassium (K_f) ion channel and linear leakage conductance (g_f) in parallel with the internodal capacitance (C_i). g_m and C_m are the conductance and capacitance separately in myelin sheath. R_p is periaxonal resistivity, R_a is axoplasmic resistivity. g_a and g_i are the conductance in paranode and internode segments separately (modified from Li et al., 2013).
