Correlation between age and expression of NRF2 was evaluated using linear regression and was found nonsignificant (slope = 0.0068, p = 0.799) when the entire material was analyzed regardless of disease and when controls were analyzed separately (regression line not shown, slope = 0.060, p = 0.429).
