Table 2.

pEC50 values of S1P derivatives at S1P receptors.

C16 C17 S1P C19 C20
S1P1 (n = 4) 6.5 ± 0.3 6.9 ± 0.2 7.1 ± 0.3 6.6 ± 0.2 n.r.
S1P2 1 (n = 4) 6.9 ± 0.1 7.0 ± 0.1 7.5 ± 0.0 6.7 ± 0.1 6.3 ± 0.1
S1P2 2 (n = 3) 6.5 ± 0.2 7.1 ± 0.1 7.3 ± 0.2 6.5 ± 0.2 6.0 ± 0.2
S1P4 (n = 4) 7.3 ± 0.2 7.1 ± 0.1 7.0 ± 0.1 6.1 ± 0.1 5.6 ± 0.1
S1P5 (n = 2) 7.4 ± 0.2 6.9 ± 0.1 7.3 ± 0.5 6.7 ± 0.1 n.r.

The experimental EC50 for all S1P derivatives were determined from the dose-response curves of the aequorin-based functional assays. Mean values of pEC50 (negative logarithm of EC50) on 2 to 4 independent experiments are presented along with the corresponding S.E.M. values.

1S1P5 cells, 2CHO-Aeq cells, n.r. = not reliable.
