Treadmill exercise modulates nitric oxide (NO) production. Sedentary and trained mice infected or not with T. cruzi were bled at 7, 14, and 20 days post-infection (DPI) for NO measurements. NO was estimated by measuring nitrite levels via the cadmium–copper system followed by Griess reaction, as described in material and methods.
