Different gut regions and the fat body of pooled N. vespilloides males and females were analysed. The housekeeping genes RPL7 and RPS4e were used as controls to verify consistent expression patterns in the different tissues. Log2-transformed RPKM values are plotted, with warmer colours representing higher relative gene expression levels.
