Schematic showing the fabrication of the Pdot-PFBT/PC30-Cu2+ Pdots for the detection of nitroxyl (HNO). The fluorescence of Pdots was quenched by Cu2+ through electron transfer. When Cu2+ was reduced to Cu+ in the presence of HNO, it restored the fluorescence of Pdots.
