Map of the sampling sites of the overwintering study. The samples were collected from surface waters and halocline from 11 November to 21 July. The metagenomic sample was collected on 13 December. All the stations were located in the main basin of Amundsen Gulf with the exception of samples collected on 14 June from Darnley Bay and 24 June from Franklin Bay.
