Cells were grown aerobically in M9 minimal medium added with glucose at 20 mM, harvested during exponential growth, and rapidly quenched with liquid N2. The intracellular metabolites were extracted and their concentration determined by means of liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. Each parameter is reported as the mean value ± standard deviation from duplicate measurements in at least two independent experiments.
