For system sizes smaller than those used in the main text (L=3,000), (a) the stationary critical exponent β and (b) the temporal correlations exponent μ|| are not found to be affected by finite-size effects to within uncertainty. (c,d) Likewise, the exponents are observed to be unaffected by increasing the nematic elasticity K. The error bars were calculated based on the s.d. from the mean value for simulations with different random initial conditions.
