Increasing unlabeled RNAs were used in competition with 32P-labeled wild-type RNA as in Fig. 3. The ability of each RNA to compete for binding to trimeric N is indicated by the maximal reduction in the binding of 32P-labeled wild-type RNA. The results are based on three independent experiments.
