DIC images of blue-IRIS phase grating lines in feline and human corneas. Phase grating (bright) lines inscribed with blue-IRIS at 5  mm/s in (a) cat and (b) human corneal tissue. Note the comparable appearance of phase lines in both species. There was no visible damage (bubbles or burns) in tissue from either species. Line waviness is most likely due to jitter in the piezo stages used for scanning.
