Elmod2 knockdown perturbs chromosome segregation and increases oocytes with aneuploidy. (A) Immunofluorescence staining of anaphase I (AI) oocytes showed that asymmetric chromosome separation occurred after Elmod2 knockdown. Chromosomes (DAPI) in blue, microtubules (MTs) in green, kinetochores (Kinets) in red. (B) Quantification showed that percentage of oocytes with asymmetric chromosomes separation (abnormal) significantly increased in Elmod2-knockdown group than in control. (C) Representative confocal images indicate euploid control oocytes, and aneuploid Elmod2-knockdown oocytes. Chromosomes (DAPI) in blue and kinetochores (Kinets) in red. (D) Quantification showed that percentage of oocytes with aneuploidy significantly increased in Elmod2-knockdown group than in control.
