The extended haplotype homozygosity (EHH) diagram of (A) women with severe preeclampsia (PE) and (B) non-PE controls using rs2287845 as a focal single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) representative of the haploblock structure. The ancestral allele curve (in red) is close to 1 for a long stretch in non-PE controls particularly in the 5' upstream direction indicating that the haplotype surrounding the focal SNP (indicated by severed vertical line) is under selection in this cohort.
