Effect of PLA on osteoclast specific gene expression. RAW264.7 murine macrophages were seeded at 1.5 × 104 cells per well in the presence or absence of PLA (100 µM) in combination with RANKL (15 ng/mL) for five days. RNA was isolated and reverse transcribed into cDNA and relative expression of osteoclast specific genes was determined by quantitative-PCR.
