SFN enhances paclitaxel-induced apoptosis in breast cancer cells. (A) Human breast cancer MDA-MB231 and MCF-7 cell lines were treated with increasing (0–20 µM) SFN concentrations with or without 10 nM paclitaxel for 24 h. The MTT assay was used to assess cell viability and the results were normalized to the untreated control cells. (B) MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with 10 nM paclitaxel alone, 5 µM SFN alone, or 10 nM paclitaxel and 5 µM SFN for 24 h. Flow cytometry was used to analyze sub-G1 DNA content (upper panel) and positive Annexin V staining (lower panel).
