Effect of acute, subchronic or chronic PCP (phencyclidine) treatment on prepulse inhibition (PPI) response. Rats were treated once a day as well as once a day for 8 or 21 days with PCP (2.5 mg/kg, SC) or saline (1 mL/kg, SC) and tested for the PPI of the acoustic startle response 30 min or 24 h after the last drug treatment.
