Figure 6. WN3 (2) biological activity after in vivo click reaction.

Figure 6

Anticoagulant activity represented as a ratio of PT measured for vehicle IP injections. (a) Vehicle IP injections to establish control group of mice (n=6) and used as reference (1.00). (b) Animal treated only with WN3 2 (2.0 mg kg−1, 5.7 μmol kg−1, 1 eq) twice with a 24-h gap by IP injection (n=7). (c) WN3 2 IP injections (2.0 mg kg−1, 5.7 μmol kg−1, 1 eq) were followed by SC injections of BCN-peg6-OH 9 (26 mg kg−1, 57.2 μmol kg−1, 10 eq) 5 min post-WN3 2 delivery (n=4). (d) WN3 2 IP injections (2.0 mg kg−1, 5.7 μmol kg−1, 1 eq) were followed by SC injections of BCN-peg6-OH 9 (52 mg kg−1, 114.4 μmol kg−1, 20 eq) 5 min post-WN3 2 delivery (n=7). Statistical differences identified with PLSD Fischer test were indicated as: *P<0.05 and **P<0.01, as compared to vehicle-treated mice and #P<0.05 and ##P<0.01, with respect to WN3 2 treated mice. Error bars indicate s.e.m. values.
