Survival curves of mice with septic peritonitis induced by Escherichia coli (E. coli.) 40 specific pathogen-free female Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) mice (20 ± 2 g) of eight-week-old were intraperitoneally injected with E. coli at 1.6 × 108 Colony-Forming Units (CFUs). At 1 h post infection, the mice were intraperitoneally administrated with (E. coli + MS19, n = 20) or without (E. coli, n = 20) MS19 (10 µg/mouse) once. The mice were observed for 72 h for recording their survivals. * p < 0.05.
