(A) Expression of A3 genes in U2OS cells treated for 24h with DMSO (vehicle 0.1%), the p53 activating drug Nutlin (10 μM) and Doxorubicin (DXR, 1.5 μM). Changes in gene expression presented as fold-change compared to untreated cells (value of 1) were analyzed by real time-qPCR. p21 expression was a positive control for a p53 transcriptional target. “*” indicates p<0.05 compared to untreated cells. (B) Nutlin or (C) Doxorubicin are heat maps for expression of A3 genes after 24h treatment in human cancer cell lines that are p53 proficient or deficient.
