The effects of LV-ShRNA-Panx1 and LV-Panx1-EGFP on levels of IL-1, IL-6, and TNF-α, and IL-18 were measured by ELISA. The concentrations of these inflammatory cytokines were obviously down-regulated by LV-ShRNA-Panx1 administration following SAH. LV-Panx1-EGFP further up-regulated the levels of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, and IL-18 as compared with SAH + LV-NC group.
