Influencer proteins in breast cancer, NSCLC and HCC. a–c Effect of three further influencer proteins, DUSP4, LFNG and SOCS3 in breast cancer, non-small cell lung and in hepatocellular carcinoma, respectively. As in Fig. 3, we compared the probable effect of the influencer proteins on cancer-related proteins in normal, cancer and treated cases. DUSP4 effects ERK signalling (a), LFNG stimulates the Notch pathway (b), while SOCS3 is an inhibitor of the JAK/STAT pathway (c).
