(B) CD8⁺ T_RM cells reside in the liver sinusoids. They express the tissue-homing marker CD69, and a subset additionally expresses the integrin CD103. T_RM cells display a unique transcriptional profile (T-bet^lo, Eomes^lo, Notch^hi). Despite high expression levels of the inhibitory receptor PD-1, they readily produce antiviral cytokines upon in vitro stimulation.
