Cytotoxicity of CGN and/or X-rays to cells was indicated by micronuclei. Five hundred A549 or BEAS-2B cells were scored under microscopy to determine the frequency of cell with micronuclei (G). Structures that were morphologically identical to but smaller than the cell nucleus were considered to be micronuclei and their diameter should not be larger than one third of the diameter of the cell nucleus. The typical image of micronuclei was presented (H). **P < 0.01 vs. non drug-treated cells.
