Decreased inducibility of JNK signaling pathway in cells expressing HCV C. The activation of the JNK signaling pathway in control cells (Jk) and HCV C-expressing cells (JHC.d, JHC.g, and JHC.h) was analyzed in immunoblots by the use of phosphospecific antibodies to SEK1, JNK1/2, and c-Jun. Where indicated, the cells were stimulated with TPA and ionomycin (Iono) for 20 min. The expected positions of SEK1 (46 kDa), the two isoforms of JNK1/2 (46 and 54 kDa), and c-Jun (48 kDa) are indicated to the left.
