Fidarestat ameliorates DOX-induced cardiac dysfunction in vivo. Serum troponin I level in (A) tumor-bearing nude mice after 21 days of treatment with DOX (4 mg kg⁻¹ wk⁻¹ i.p) alone or with fidarestat (B) C57BL/6 J mice treated with DOX (10 mg kg⁻¹ wk⁻¹ i.p) alone or in combination with fidarestat (25 mg kg⁻¹) after 10 days. Percentage Ejection fraction (C) and Fractional shortening (D) in heart of C57BL/6 J mice after 2-weeks of treatment with DOX (4 mg kg⁻¹ wk⁻¹ i.p) alone or in combination with fidarestat in drinking water (25 mg kg⁻¹). Values are Mean ± SD. Individual p values are mentioned in the figures (n = 6 in each group).
