Puerarin inhibited Smad2 phosphorylation in HUVECs. HUVECs were preincubated with different concentrations of puerarin (10, 25, and 50 μM) for 30 min and then treated with TGF-β1 (10 ng/ml) for 48 h. Protein levels of p-Smad2 and Smad2 in cell lysates in indicated groups were detected by WB, normalized to GAPDH (n = 6). ∗p < 0.05 versus control group; #p < 0.05 versus TGF-β1 group.
