InvS regulates the level of FimZ. (A) InvS downregulates fimZ-gfp expression in Salmonella. The 5′ UTR along with the full ORFs of FimZ and FlhD were translationally fused to GFP. Plasmids derived from pXG30, expressing GFP fusion proteins, were cotransformed with pBAD-derived plasmids expressing InvS or the vector control. Bacterial ICDH was detected using polyclonal anti-ICDH antibodies as the loading control. The levels of GFP fusion proteins were determined by Western blotting with polyclonal anti-GFP antibodies.
