PTEN has no effect on HCV RNA translation. HCV translation was measured using either a monocistronic HCV-2a rLuc reporter (a) or a replication-deficient HCV-2a genomic RNA rLuc reporter (c). Huh-7 cells were co-transfected with the monocistronic translation rLuc reporter RNA (b) or the genomic RNA (d), and plasmid vector or PTEN-expressing plasmid. Luciferase assay was performed 24 hours after transfection. Data were expressed as fold changes relative to vector control; NS for not significant.
