Note: A = genetic influence, C = shared-environmental influence, E = non-shared environmental influence. Paths a11, c11 and e11 indicate the genetic and environmental influences on antisocial behavior at age 10. Paths a21, c21 and e21 show whether influences on antisocial behavior at age 10 also explain variance in maternal knowledge at age 12. Finally, paths a22, c22 and e22 indicate genetic and environmental influences on maternal knowledge at age 12, that remain after accounting for all influences shared with antisocial behavior at age 10.
