(a) Subcellular localization of the myosin heavy chains endogenously tagged with 3xTy. The peripheral marker α-IMC1 and the cytoplasmic marker α-ACT were also used to visualize the parasites. In addition, TgCEN2 and TgMORN1 were endogenously tagged with YFP and Myc, respectively, in the MyoJ-3Ty and the MyoK-3Ty background. Scale bar, 2 μm. Dashed lines represent the parasite periphery. (b) Plaque assays performed over 7 days on the 3Ty-tagged (3Ty) and knockout (KO) strains of myosins.
