Detection of viral miRNAs by In Situ Hybridization in Bone Marrow Biopsies.

In Situ Hybridization (ISH) for the KSHV-miR-K12-4-3p and KSHV-miR-K12-10b, and the EBV-miR-BHRF1-1 were performed in bone marrow tissue samples. Red dashed lines show the nucleus boundaries, red arrows point to cytoplasmic localization of the miRNA in lymphocytes-derived cells, and yellow arrows point to cytoplasmic localization of the miRNA in megakaryocytes. Images were taken at 1000 × magnification and the scale bar = 10 μm.
