Inhibition of cell migration and adhesion by NUP. (A) A549 cell monolayers were "scratched" and were grown in the absence (control) or presence of NUP (0.75 μg/ml) for 28 hrs. NUP prevented the cells from closing the wound. (B) B16 melanoma cell monolayers were "scratched" and were grown in the absence (control) or presence of NUP (3.2 μg/ml) for 48 hrs. NUP prevented the cells from closing the wound in a dose dependent manner. All experiments were repeated at least three times. Representative images are shown here.
