The ages of male partners of HIV positive women are derived from transmission clusters while the ages of male partners of HIV negative women are self-reported ages of their last 3 male partners

#

The mean age and age difference of male partners for HIV positive women >40 years cannot be correctly calculated as men above age 50 years were not enrolled in this study and are therefore not included in the cluster analysis. The 34 male partners listed are only those partners <50 years.
