Figure 1. — Overall survival rates in ConA-treated mice in presence or absence of Gal-9. Mice were given a single intravenous injection of ConA (35 mg/kg body weight) and were observed for 48 h and checked for survival every 6 h. Gal-9 (100 µg per mouse) was injected subcutaneously immediately following the injection of ConA. The overall survival rate was significantly higher in Gal-9-treated mice compared with ConA-treated control mice. *P<0.05 vs. control. ConA, concanavalin A; Gal-9, galectin-9.
