Fig 10. Time course of expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines.

Fig 10

No significant differences in the expressions of TNF-α (A), IL-1 (B), IL-6 (C) and IL-17 (D) were observed at baseline in the three groups (p> 0.05 as compared amongthe sham, IR and IR with AZA groups at baseline). After post-reperfusion 90 minutes, these cytokines were significantly increased in the IR and IR-A400 groups (p<0.05 as compared with baseline between the IR and IR-A400 groups). The elevation of these cytokines were lowered by AZA 400 mg/kg BW (p<0.05 as compared between the IR and IR-A400 groups). In the sham group without insult, slight increase in cytokines remained after periods of experiments (p<0.05 as compared with baseline). The elevation of cytokines was significant less than that in the IR group at post-reperfusion 90minutes (p< 0.05 as compared with the IR group). There was a significant difference from the *Sham (p<0.05) and #IR (p<0.05) groups and from §baseline (p<0.05). Sham group; IR, ischemia-reperfusion group; IR-A400, IR + AZA 400mg/kg group.
