(C–D) Cellular apoptosis in HepG2 cells (C) and SMMC-7721 cells (D) infected with Scr-shRNA or KPNA2-shRNA. Both cell types infected with lentiviruses expressing either Scr-shRNA or HSDL2-shRNA were cultured for 4 days and then resuspended for apoptosis analysis using the ANNEXIN-V assay and flow cytometry. The data shown are the mean ± SEM of apoptosis rate from three separate experiments (**p < 0.01).
