Younger leaves without (B) and with (C) visible vein structures allow 1×sGFP movement throughout the basal half of leaf blades. (D) Older leaves with elongated petioles allow the sGFP (1× and 2×) movement through vascular tissues and leaf veins and the basal part of petioles closer to the SAM.
