The effect of HIF-1α siRNA. Cells were transiently transfected with siRNA targeted for HIF-1α (HIF-1α siRNA) or non-specific siRNA (Mock) for 24 h, and then incubated in normoxia or 1% O₂ for 4 h. The expression of HIF-1α, DRP1 and β-actin proteins was revealed by Western blot analysis, and the quantification analyses are shown below. β-Actin was used as a loading control. The results are shown as mean ± SD of at least three experiments. # Represented p < 0.005 when compared to normoxic Mock condition was determined using the one-way ANOVA.
