Example of midbrain MWF maps obtained in a healthy subject at 3T using FAST-T2 acquisition with mBIR-4 adiabatic T2prep and a spatially constrained nonlinear fitting algorithm. Reducing the number of acquired TEs from 15 to six shortened the whole brain scan time from 10 min to only 4 min while providing similar MWF values across the brain (except in blood vessels).
