Lysergic acid diethylamide did not alter gene expression. The levels of expression of the 5-HT2A receptor gene (HTR2A) and early growth response genes (EGR1, EGR2, and EGR3) were determined before and 1.5 and 24 h after administration of 100 μg LSD or placebo. The data are expressed as the mean ± SEM of mRNA expression levels relative to reference genes with stable expression. The respective differences in fold-changes from baseline are show in Table 2.
