N-Terminal Tails of Human Histone H3 and Nine CENH3s.

Only the CENH3s with documented centromeric localization are listed. The first 12 and (no more than) the last 24 amino acids of the N-terminal tail region are shown (the N terminus of S. pombe SpCENP-A contains only 23 amino acids). The residues known to be phosphorylated on human histone H3, human CENP-A, and maize CENH3 are indicated.
