Incremental additions of 0.30 mM Au MPC solutions, charged by electrolysis to (A) +0.92 V, (B) +0.72 V and (C) +0.62 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), respectively, were made to 5 mL solutions of ethylferrocene in (2 : 1) toluene–acetonitrile mixtures with 0.1 M tetrabutylammonium hexafluorophosphate supporting electrolyte.
