Taxonomic composition of the Vibrionaceae family at different pelagic depths. The data was retrieved from the Tara oceans project, and included stations where information was acquired for the three depths (Sunagawa et al., 2015). The rings represent the different depths: surface water layer—down to 5 m depth (outer ring); deep chlorophyll maximum layer—from 5 to 200 m depth (middle ring); and mesopelagic zone—from 250 to 1,000 m depth (inner ring).
